MEDICAL WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

Medically supervised weight management

A medical team that sees you in person, and a plan built around you.

We are now booking consultations for our GLP-1 weight management program (semaglutide or tirzepatide), starting the week of October 26. Katie Hall, APRN, FNP-BC, Nurse Practitioner, sees weight management patients at our Covington office. The goal isn't just a lower number on the scale. It's losing fat while protecting your muscle, energy and long-term health.

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps

1. Consultation and exam — A 60-minute visit with Katie to go over your health history, medications and goals, with measurements and body composition.

2. Lab work first — Lab work is required before your first prescription, as ordered by your nurse practitioner. Most draws are done right here in our office, or at a Quest Diagnostics location if that's easier for you.

3. Your personal plan — If you are a candidate, Katie builds a plan with you and writes a prescription just for you, given as a weekly injection. It is filled by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

4. Regular check-ins — In-person visits for weigh-ins, blood pressure, measurements and body composition on our body composition scale. Any dose change is made slowly, and only when it is right for you.

MORE THAN A PRESCRIPTION

The medication works best as part of a plan

Studies show the biggest results come when a GLP-1 medication is paired with good nutrition, regular activity and support, not when it is used alone. Every new patient receives our New Patient Packet: a program guide, nutrition guide, exercise guide, supplement guide, a health journal and a When to Call sheet.

Three daily habits matter most: protein first at every meal, water all day, and strength training two to three days a week. They protect your muscle while you lose fat, and they are your long-term plan, too.

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

Plainly

This program may not be right for you if you have diabetes (type 1 or type 2), a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2, or a history of pancreatitis or gallbladder disease. It is also not for anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to become pregnant. Katie reviews your full health history at your consultation, and if this isn't the right path for you, she will tell you honestly.

The semaglutide or tirzepatide prescribed here is a patient-specific compounded medication, prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

We see adults 18 and over. This page is general information and does not replace care from your primary or specialty provider.

Questions before you start?
